L-By looking at the contents page it's very easy to tell that it is linked to the front cover of the Kerrang magazine, obviously because it says 'Kerrand this week' but also because of the colour scheme. The colour Yellow dominates the main headline on the front cover, whereas the smaller headings are in in yellow on the contents page, i think this works well because it means the colour isnt over used. The colour red is also used, but in more of a similar way to the front cover, it doesnt dominate the page, it's used for the borders of things and small text, finally the colour black is used in the exact same way as the front cover, it's purpose is to be the background of everything to help the other colours stand out more, it also gives the magazine the 'rock/dark' feel it needs. On the other hand, a way in which you wouldnt be able to tell the contents page is linked to the front cover is because of the pictures. The biggest and main picture on the contents page is of 'slash', so you'd think that he would be on the front cover, but taking this into consideration i understand that there would be no point in advertising the cover story twice, so the contents page should advertise a different one to the front cover, which is exactly what Kerrang does. The contents page of this magazine is parted into two, the top half is the dominating picture of slash (^) which also has to small pictures on top of it showing two different stories inside, both of which have headlines telling you what pages they are on.The title 'Contents' is also at the top of the page in yellow bold text in the same font as the title 'Kerrang!' which the issue number of the magazine and date below it in white writing to stand out from the black background. The bottom half of the page is the actual 'contents', taking over the full length, but a small length of the left hand side of the page is a paragpraph written by the deputy editor, talking about this weeks magazine. The rest of the page includes one small photo, with a group of unknown people. And and a promotion of getting Kerrang delivered to your door.
I-The editor of this magazine is Daniel Lane, this has since changed, with Nichola Browne becoming the official editor in 2009.
I-The moral of the contents page is to inform the reader about everything that's inside the magazine.
A-The audience of the contents page is obviously just the general readers of 15 to 25 year olds, but i think the older generation will actually take notice of the contents page more.
R-The contents page show's neither a negative or positive outlook on the rest of the magazine, it just shows what is on each page.
